How to close SBI bank account?

Technoparktoday.com:  Many people wanted to close their SBI account because of the recent developments that imposed charges/fines/ penalties for transactions and  including the ATM transactions, so here we are listing the process of closing your SBI account

Step 1 : Get the Savings/Current SBI Bank Account Closure Form from an SBI Branch. and fill the form properly with the following details

• Name of Account Holder.
• Account Number.
• Mobile Number.
• You have the option to receive your balance amount by (1) Cash (2) Cheque/Draft (3) Balance transfer to any other Bank account
• Signature of Authorized Signatory of the respective Savings/Current Account.

Step 2:  Return SBI Debit cards, Cheque Book, Passbook etc to the bank.

Step 3: Submit your ID and address proof documents

You have to submit the photo copies of your id proofs associated with your account.

Once you complete these steps, and submit your application to close your account with SBI, they will process it and You will receive your Balance as mentioned in your Account Closure Form i.e., through Cash, Cheque/Draft or Transfer to any Other Bank Account.
