IT Minister P. K. Kunhalikutty inaugurates new 5,000 sq. ft. facility at Kallayi Building

Technoparktoday ( July 2026): Strengthening Kerala’s growing semiconductor ecosystem, Technopark-based KaiSemi Control Systems has inaugurated its new 5,000 sq. ft. office at Kallayi Building, Technopark Phase I.
The new facility was inaugurated by Shri P. K. Kunhalikutty, Minister for IT, Industries and Startups, Government of Kerala, in the presence of Shri Seeram Samabasiva Rao IAS, Special Secretary, Department of Electronics & IT, Government of Kerala, Shri Sandip Kumar IAS, CEO of Technopark, and senior officials from Kerala IT Parks.
During his interaction with the company’s leadership and international clients, the Minister encouraged the organisation to leverage Kerala’s highly skilled engineering talent and utilise the state’s growing technology ecosystem to capture emerging global opportunities in semiconductor development.
KaiSemi is engaged in developing advanced control system software for highly sophisticated semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including ion implanters used in chip fabrication. Its software precisely controls robotics, beam tuning, valve mechanisms, automation systems, and other complex processes essential for semiconductor manufacturing.
Semiconductor chips are the backbone of modern technologies, powering smartphones, automobiles, industrial equipment, aerospace systems, telecommunications, and defence applications. As countries worldwide focus on strengthening semiconductor supply chains, companies such as KaiSemi are contributing to India’s efforts towards greater self-reliance in this strategic sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Jeff Boeker, Founder of Kingston Semiconductor and Managing Director of KaiSemi, said that Technopark’s world-class infrastructure and Kerala’s highly skilled workforce have played a crucial role in the company’s growth.
The company currently exports its software solutions to semiconductor fabrication facilities in Singapore, South Korea, China, and Vietnam, with plans to establish its own machine development facility as part of its next phase of expansion.
The inauguration was attended by Smt. Anu Joseph, Shri Fahad Abdul Salam, Shri Tony Joseph (CEO, Agentiv-X), Shri Madhavan Praveen, CTO, Technopark, Shri Vipin Kumar S, CFO, Kerala IT Parks, Shri Vasanth Varada, Deputy Vice President (Marketing & Customer Relationship), Shri Abhilash D. S., Assistant Vice President (Administration & Industrial Relations), and Shri V. Sreekumar, GTech Secretary and Centre Head, Tata Elxsi.
The expansion further reinforces Technopark’s position as a hub for advanced engineering, deep-tech innovation, and globally competitive product companies, while contributing to Kerala’s vision of becoming an important destination for semiconductor and electronics innovation
