Experion Technologies Opens AI Center of Excellence at Technopark Trivandrum

Experion Technologies has inaugurated a new 58,000 sq. ft. development centre at Technopark, expanding its AI and product engineering operations from the Kerala capital.

The new facility, which can accommodate more than 700 engineers, will function as Experion’s AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE) and support the company’s global delivery and AI-native engineering initiatives.

The centre was inaugurated by Dr. Tessy Thomas, renowned aerospace engineer and missile scientist, widely known as the “Missile Woman of India” for her leadership roles in the Agni-IV and Agni-V missile programmes.

As part of the expansion, Experion also announced ARC, its AI-native product engineering operating model, and launched the Experion Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Academy, aimed at developing engineers for customer-facing AI roles.

AI CoE to support global product engineering

The new AI Center of Excellence will serve as the operational hub for Experion’s ARC framework, bringing together multidisciplinary teams working across product discovery, engineering, AI model integration, deployment and continuous optimisation.

Experion said the centre will support customers across banking and financial services, automotive, retail, healthcare and insurance, including clients in the US, UK, Australia and Japan.

The facility includes AI innovation labs, embedded IoT labs, rapid prototyping spaces, collaborative engineering zones, learning facilities and employee wellness amenities.

According to Experion, ARC integrates AI throughout the software development lifecycle rather than operating as a standalone AI platform. The company said customers using the model have reported reductions of 15 to 30 per cent in project timelines, along with improvements in engineering productivity and time-to-market.

Binu Jacob, Co-Founder and CEO of Experion Technologies, said the expansion comes amid increasing global demand for AI-native product engineering.

He said the new AI CoE represents a strategic investment for the company and will create opportunities for engineers in Trivandrum to work on complex product engineering assignments for global customers.

Jacob also reiterated Experion’s long-term commitment to building engineering talent from Kerala for international markets.

FDE Academy launched

Experion’s newly launched Forward Deployed Engineer Academy will prepare engineers to work directly with customers in identifying business challenges, developing AI solutions and deploying them into production.

The programme will provide training through AI labs, customer workshops, mentoring, hackathons and live projects, while giving participants hands-on exposure to Experion’s ARC model.

Sreekumar Pillai, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Experion Technologies, said AI is redefining engineering rather than replacing engineers.

He said the AI CoE and FDE Academy are intended to equip Experion’s engineering workforce with the skills, tools and customer-facing capabilities required for AI-led product development.

With the new facility, Experion is strengthening its presence at Technopark while expanding its focus on AI-native product engineering, global delivery and next-generation engineering talent.
