Prathidhwani lends helping hand for Ankamali bus accident victims

TechnoparkToday.com>> Bijimol was in the Ankamali KSRTC bus which got into major accident on last Friday evening at 7pm, 3rd March at Ayoor. Bijimol was admitted in Gokulam Medical College hospital. Her nose and thighs were seriously injured in the accident. She could somehow manage to give her Fathers phone number to a rescue person and passed the information to family. On 4th March , Saturday early morning 3AM she was admitted in Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram as the Gokulam Medical College officials asked her to remit an advance amount of 1.5 lakhs for operation. Bijimol was in need of an emergency implant surgery for thighs and also a surgery on her nose.

Bijimol V, is a Software Engineer working at Siroco Technologies, Thejaswini Technopark. Bijimol’s father Mr. John Vinod is running a watch repairing shop at Ennakkad near Chengannur and mother Sarala is house wife. Her younger sister Binimol is studying for MSc in Mavelikkara IHRD college. The family resides at “Vidya Bhavan, Ennakkad PO, Chengannoor, Alappuzha 689121”. Bijimol earns a very low income as she started her career after a training course there itself. Some of her colleagues seek help from Prathidhwani for the treatment because of the family’s poor financial condition.

Prathidhwani team visited Bijimol and handed over an emergency help of Rs.50,000/- ( Fifty thousand only) for her treatment. We contacted Medical College Superintendent Dr.Sharmid and doctor visited the patient and ensured us all possible helps from Medical College Hospital. Implant surgery for thighs was completed today. She was taken to operation theatre today, 9th March morning 8am and back to bed at 12:30pm.

The fund was raised only from the well-wishers of Prathidhwani. We thank all who helped us in raising this amount in such a short notice and this timely action again proves the social commitment and responsibility of Technopark Community to our society.
We had already closed the collection and will transfer the remaining amount we received Rs.90400/- ( Ninety thousand and four hundred only) till today to Bijimol’s bank account. Total amount collected is Rs.1,40,400/- ( One lakh Fourty thousand and four hundred only).
