technopark prepaid auto counterTechnoparkToday.com>> June 15, 2014: After a long wait, a pre paid auto counter is going to a reality at Technopark. The inauguration of the auto counter will be held on Monday (June 16) evening. Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala will inaugurate the Prepaid auto counter and police aid post here in Technopark.

The decision to set up a pre paid counter was taken after techies made a series of complaints against fleecing by auto drivers. The home minister recently met techies in Technopark and sped up the process of setting up the prepaid auto counter and police aid post.

The interesting part of the plan is that the new counter will have the service of around 50 Nirbhaya autos. Nirbhaya autos are women-friendly autos launched with the support of city police. Auto charges from Technopark to various places in the city will be displayed at the counter.

Prathidhwani, the cultural organization of techies, played the significant role in setting up the pre-paid auto facility in Technopark. Their sincere efforts, contributions and follow-ups is now cherishing the long pending wish of techies – the prepaid auto counter for technopark. Prathidwani collected fund for setting up the pre-paid auto counter from its members & well wishers.( details Here..). The counter is located near Technopark main gate.  Prathidhwani has also developed software for running the counter & taxis.

Technopark authority and GTECH (Group of Technology Companies) will support City police in the operation of the pre-paid auto counter and police aid post.
