An Appeal from PFA, your call to make a difference!

PFA – People For Animals, a non profit organization, having a chapter at Trivandrum, working for the welfare of injured, sick and abandoned animals. Now they really need our help. Here is an appeal from them to all of us, Let’s give them a helping hand.

We People For Animals, Trivandrum Chapter,is a registered charitable trust started in 1996 for the welfare of injured, sick and abandoned animals. Initially we did not have a shelter to look after the rescued animals. Now we do have a shelter near Pravachambalam, about 13 kms from the city where we look all the rescued animals. There are now about 70 dogs there, lots of cats and pups and a bull which was rescued as a calf from been slaughtered by a kind man who handed it over to us. Named Nandu, he is a big bull now. To keep the shelter running, now we have left with no other choice but raise funds. We had an ambulance before used for the rescues and the vaccination and adoption camps. But unfortunately it’s not in a working condition anymore. So hiring an auto is our only option out at the moment. So repairing our ambulance is also a dire need.
                
So for the very first time, to raise funds to run the shelter and to get our ambulance back on the road , we have come out with our own EXCLUSIVE 2011 PFA CALENDARS for sale..! With beautiful charcoal painted pictures of animals that can adorn the wall of a home as well as an office..! It costs a hundred per calendar which once bought will be with you, a year long, as a token of your compassion towards the poor animals.
                 
Technopark is one place that, we believe ,has people with a difference in the city. It was Mr. K.Ramachandran who actually showed us the way in and we are so grateful to him for that. Though he has retired from his seat, the compassion he showed is still working for us..!  Companies like Allianz Cornhill, RR Donnelley and Ernst and Young and now UST Global did go out of their way to help us. We are currently selling at the UST Global and the at The Nest. The response so far has been very encouraging as most of the people we meet can connect to our cause.
