Attukal Pongala : Go-Green Initiative by Techies

Technoparktoday.com>> Vivekananda Study Circle (VSC), non-profit socio-cultural organization in Technopark has decided to promote go-green initiative for Attukal Pongala which would be celebrated on 23rd Feb 2016.  VSC has decided to support in campaign through social media as well as directly with various volunteering organizations.

In this regard a direct campaign was conducted with different volunteering organizations in Trivandrum as well as with different people providing transportation on the Pongala day. The volunteers have communicated the importance and guidelines for maintaining  temple premises and city  plastic-free.  The campaign was widely accepted by all volunteering organizations.

VSC have shown good progress towards Punyam Poonkavanam – an initiative headed by P.Vijayan, IPS, aiming ‘Clean Sabarimala. More campaigns will conducted by VSC on Go Green initiative.
