Shangri-lla Art Gallery in the city is arranging a special treat for both artists and art lovers every weekend.  The ‘Weekend Art Mart’ being held at footpath near the Police Ground at Thycaud is witnessing a rush of artists and buyers.
Started in March end by director of Shangri-lla, Sasikumar, the Weekend Art Mart attempts to make art a thing of common man. Â Public can watch how a painting is born and also can buy it in low price.
Any artists can reach the place between 4 pm and 7 pm and paint without any pay. Â Interested people can join them as spectators or buyers. Â Lots of paintings are getting sold in the program. The program offers an excellent platform for the artists.
So, be there at Vazhutacaud in the coming weekend and be a part of this novel initiative.
This is a nice concept, and first time in kerala it seems, such kind of events are in places like paris and all. artists can paint in street and sell it directly to the customers.

This is a superb idea. so that artists can sell their creations in a fair price and avoid the middle man and thus their commision.
Normally the artists are selling their pictures in a very nominal costs and the agents are selling it in manyfold and the margin is theirs. by doing such initiatives, the buyers can get fresh arts in a very reasonable rates.
