Uday Samudra to commemorate World Environment Day on June 5, 2010

Green Uday Samudra, an initiative by Uday Samudra, along with Teens Representing Environment Education (TREE) and National Cadet Corps (NCC) will organise a Green Run on June 5, 2010 to commemorate World Environment Day. The Green Run will start from the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium and conclude at Kowdiar Palace in Thiruvananthapuram at 9.30 am. In addition to this, NCC cadets will take part in a plastic waste collection in the city. Both the events will be inaugurated by M Vijayakumar, Minister for Sports and Parliamentary Affairs, Kerala at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium.

According to the company release, around 2,000 people are expected to participate in this annual event. Central Reserve Police Force, Army, Air Force, Kerala Police, Karate School, Confederation of Kerala Tourism Industry, Association of Tourism Trade Organisations, India, South Kerala Hoteliers Forum, Pollution Control Board, Club FM, Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology and IT firms from Technopark will support this environmental initiative.
