The Village Clippings – The great collection of Illustrated paintings by K.P.Muraleedharan is conducting At Suryakanti art Gallery, Opp. Womens college, Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram.( From 2nd to 6th March, 2011 )

About the artist

K.P Muraleedharan, is a graduate from College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram. He worked as senior designer and concept artist in Toonz Animation for nearly 10 years. He has made three animated films so far. All three were noted for peculiarity in themes and gained much praise and applause. The first was a four minute film Ana. The film was about the adventurous journey of an elephant and his mahout. It was screened in many national and international film festivals and received many awards. The second film was called Paddy’s pages, which was selected for the international cocnept meet in Singapore and nominated for Chicago International Children’s Film Festival in 2007. It tells the story of Paddy, a typical child of today, who is inquisitive. Muraleedharan’s latest creation is Sacred eggs.  Sacred eggs is a honest attempt to spread the value being optimistic which makes hearts and souls around us happy. It got the award for best animated short film in the Second International Documentary and Short Film Festival conducted by Kerala Chalachithra academy.
Muraleedharan worked as an illustrator in Mathrubhumi weekly. His native place is Kattanam in Kayankulam. He is married and has a son. At present he works as a freelance illustrator.
Exhibition will be opened from 10 am to 6 pm
