Technopark, Infopark ingnored in Mani’s Budget

tpt>> Amidst the pandemonium created by LDF against Finance Minister K M Mani in the Assembly, all ignored the fact that IT sector was totally ignored in the budget.

In the shocking move, there was no budgetary allocation for Technopark and Infopark. Industry experts expressed worry over the issue, which may back-track growth of IT industry in the state.

Anoop P. Ambika, secretary, Group of Technology Companies, told media that the unprecedented move of not making budgetary allocation to Infopark and Technopark would push up their cost of operation, eventually driving away potential investors. He, however, was all praise for the e-governance innovation fund provided in the Budget.

Joseph C. Mathew, IT advisor to former Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan, said the neglect meted out to the government IT Parks was a continuation of their sidelining dating back to the A.K. Antony-led UDF government.

  1. most of the small companies in technopark running in loss and there is salary issues. It is directly affecting the employees. government can support the companies by lowering the rent to be paid to technopark. heard that more than 10 companies in technopark have huge amounts of rent pending to be paid to TPark.

  2. Kerala Govt and finance minister is only concerned about the rubber estate people – Because they may have acres of rubber estate both in the name of their relatives or even binamis. Lets pray to god to give them some wisdom to own some IT business also.
