  1. I hate this idea too.

Forget the eligibility criterias and have a look at the portfolio/profile/resume.

You are looking for “drop outs”, that too require one to go to colleage. There are lot of peoples who did not go for formal educaiton due to specific reasons. We must give them also a chance. Just verify their analytical and technical skills.

A ‘difference’ comes when one of your employee who did not have a comp. engg. degree becomes CTO 🙂

  2. Good…
…but I wonder why not revealing the company name and details???

  3. Might be the fear of loosing projects if customers see this add? … kidding.

I must not criticize when good things happen.

  4. Friends, thanks for your jumping in. Actually we are not interested to reveal the name of the company at this point, since we have so many formalities to complete, that is why we insisted to technoparktoday.com, to not reveal the company name at this point of time. we will surely put the details once we finished with the stuffs.

and Praveen, we are not feared at all, since we are not a project based company, even though we have a couple of projects now. we are having some product ideas and our customers are not looking for any Degree certificate, rather they are concerned with SLAs only.

It is our decesion to take the skilled but college dropouts, because there should be some company to take them. I personally know many college drop outs with extra ordinary talents both in technical as well as marketing/business skills. so we would be the first company to tap the talents in that area.

you can either criticize or support, but we are not at all concerned since we know who we are, and where we are heading to…

Thanks once again, and thanks for the overwhelming response, in the very first day itself we’d got half a dozen of resumes.

Only college drop outs, and degree holders please excuse 🙂

  5. Nice to hear.

Best of Luck. Waiting to hear great news about your projects.

  6. Good news for college dropouts…Microsoft and Apple are not different, every top companies are found by college drop outs. We hope one day you people will be also known by the world with yoru innovative products…

  7. Bravo!!! Best wishes.
And God bless as you are thinking about the society.
But, one point of concern here is that I can see lots of Graduates and Post Graduates (without prof degree) in Kerala. Hence, I would rather enquire why you wanted only college drop-outs.

  8. @ Renish John .. I wish to join you, but I cannot. Because I am a graduate and employed too :-(… All the best….

  9. @ Renish John

If it’s for college drop outs, what should one put as “Experience in Years” ?

You can send your resume to [email protected] with subject line <VJ12

  10. @ Renish John

One thing you can be sure about is that, no one will leave your company to join another… So zero “Attrition”….. 🙂 Great Idea….!!!

  11. Folks, thanks for expressing your views.

@Soman, actually there are many experienced but college drop out people working in the industry in small companies as well as freelancers. i knew a dozen of such very talented personalities, and drawing fatty paychecks everymonth. thats why we invited them with their experience details.

Then about the attrition – Thats everywhere. some people think we are taking college drop outs because they won’t jump the company. you are totally wrong friend. if you are good in what you are doing, there are no difficulty to survice in this world. do you know how many freelancers are there? and how much they are earning every month – With out any Taxes? don’t get faint, when hearing one of my friends who is getting nearly 1.75 Lakhs / month by doing the freelancing. if you are good, there are plenty of opportunities for you to survive. also as i mentioned earlier such drop outs are working independently, as well as in small to medium companies. so they can jump. and see now we started a company only for drop outs. tomorrow many such companies will come up, and they will jump in to that companies also. thats a phenomena, that you can’t change. thats the industry, so it would be there.

  12. good vision friend. all the best

  13. Steve Jobs is school drop out. I know about a BE drop out who is better in technologies than anyone else of his age/position.

If everyone stick to the rules, there will be no invention/revolution.

  14. @ Renish John

I completely agree with you and I have already wished you ‘All the Best’ for this revolutionary venture.. I just put a few of my queries.. not to make fun of you or the dare step you have taken… Take care…

  16. hello,
    guys
You r new trend setter in India man, I give you best of luck for your company may you become a billion dollar company within 10 years. As a matter of fact I himself wanted to develop a company confused of what to do Game developer, Website developer, or software application developer. I hope that you ,I & other new Indian startups become parallel(to each others business) Successful Software companies in this world. But is it fesable in India as it is not like America lots of Corruption and big corporates pressure in suprising startups here, is it true correct me and also a degree gives you a identity in the market.

  17. @Abhishek:

But is it fesable in India as it is not like America lots of Corruption and big corporates pressure in suprising startups here, is it true correct me and also a degree gives you a identity in the market.

Its wrong. Think, why India had enough projects even at the time of recession.

  18. I know man that India has lot of cash flowing in Infosys, Wipro TCS HCL etc but they outsource the technology to say Microsoft etc, but I want to say is can we here develope a mass market software like Oracle, SAP,Microsoft Office .Which the company can directly sell it tio customers ,OEMS etc.No offense but the power of this Software comes from this example > I get asked by relatives & friends that you should get a Oracle,REDhat, ,Microsft,, Or SAP etc certificate after college to get instantly recruited by big India companies with hefty salary. So they are so much influential in ones JOb Resume. Can we really develope and market that type of software to other countries.
