Good news to all rail passengers in Technopark, A lots of new development is going to happen in Kazhakkuttam railway station including the name change and stop for more trains.
Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi assured to the action council that the Kazhakkutom station will be renamed to ‘Kazhakuttom Technopark Station’.
It was a long awaited requests from the people in technopark. Kazhakkuttam is knowing in the name of technopark today. so it is a very logical requirement that the kazhakkuttam railway station should also append the name – Technopark.
Thus people can easily understand the location, also it would be a win win deal for both the railway and technopark.
kazhakkuttam will be the city centre within next 10 years. the city will be expanding in this direction only. so it is very important that to develop all the infrastructures including the transportation in this area. Kazhakkuttam is knowing in the name of the technopark. so this is the right name for that – Technopark railway station
Good move to rename the railway station as ‘Kazhakkuttam Technopark Railway Station’. But more importantly we need to have stops for more trains at Kazhakkuttam station, at least for all Express Trains.
nice to hear, but Kazhakkuttam station is a smallone.. just 2 platforms, no roofingf, no seats….
Its good thing, but the number of trains having stop at kazhakootam is still less than 6.Pls stop more train at kazhakootam. At least for vanchinad (in the morning)
I’m so happy to hear that there will be stop for more trains at Kazhakuttom, because its difficult to reach home and return on time to office. I need to go to Thampanoor or Kollam to catchup the train and it seems many of us are facing the same problem.Hoping that Kazhakuttom Station shall be developed very soon and have more trains.Good Move…
i think , kazhakuttom is IT HUB and trade centre in trivandrum city
technopark , ISRO , schools , training centres , software companies etc are near to kazhakuttom
but there is no devlopments are taken by authorities
i suggest TECHNOPARK JN for kazhakuttom railway station
we need stop for vanchinad and jayanthi at kazhakoottam in morning
Dear all,
As you all know Kazhakottam is a the nearest railway station for Employees at Technopark,ISRO, Sainik school,CRPF, Technocity,Kerala University,College of Engg Trivandrum,Kinfra and many other organizations/insitutions.Most of the Express trains doesnt have a halt at Kazahkottam Rly Station. Kazhakuttam railway station is not developing along with other developments in kazhakuttam.
If there is memu trains from Kollam to Trivandrum at regular intervals, it would be beneficial to not only to those using trains, but also can reduce traffic at Kazhakuttam ( as more and more will be depending on trains ) .
Technopark authorities please take the initiative to start the memu train service.
