TechnoparkToday.com(March, 2014): Crimes against women have been increasing across the country in the past few years. Even in Trivandrum, women face assaults, eve teasing and harassment at various situations in day to day life. Taking a step forward in tackling this situation Make a Difference in association with KSWDC (Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation) has decided to organise a self defense program which would equip Trivandrum’s women to be better prepared against such acts. Uday Dhanda from Chennai, who is a professional Krav Maga trainer, will be conducting sessions which would teach women basic self defense techniques and practical solution to tackle a potential attack.

The training session would be one and a half hour long and will be held at Capitol Hotel, Pulimmodu with a maximum participation of 25 participants per session. 8 such sessions (930-1100, 1130-1300, 1400-1530 and 1600-1730) will take place on 8th and 9th of March thus reaching out to 200 women in Trivandrum. Interested people can register by phone by speaking to MAD volunteers Anju (9447326097) orSoumya (9400625686).
