Goal’ 09 – Golden boot to Najeev

UST Global ‘A’ retained the Goal ’09 Technopark football tournament here on Wednesday, defeating UST ‘B’ 2-0 in the final to win the title.

Infosys scored a solitary goal win over NEST to finish third. In the semifinals, UST Global ‘A’ defeated NEST 2-0 while UST ‘B’ overcame Infosys by a solitary goal.

Najeev Nambiar of UST Global ‘A’, who scored 14 goals in the tournament, won the Golden Boot award. Gins Punnoose of UST Global ‘A’ was chosen as the player of the tournament.
