Wipro Announces Salary Hikes

Indian IT giant Wipro has announced a salary hike of 12-15 percent for its Indian employees and 2-4 percent for its overseas employees, effective from June 1.

The announcement regarding pay hikes came by as Wipro reported a 14 percent year-on-year rise in net profit for the January-March quarter in line with the market trends. The company reported a net profit of Rs. 1,375 crore as against Rs. 1,209 crore last year.

The company added net 2,894 employees and 68 new clients in the quarter. Its revenues were up by 18 percent from Rs 7,016 crore to Rs. 8,302 crore during the same period last year.
