Software Estimation Techniques – Technical Session at Technopark

Various surveys have repeatedly discovered that most of the software projects (over 60%) are marred by cost and time overrun. One of the major reasons for this is the inability of project team to estimate the right size of the software.  Not using any scientific methods or accounting various factors like earlier experience on similar project, team’s capability, risks identification and mitigation, re-usability, documentation required, attrition etc. in estimation of efforts, time and the team size may lead to unfavorable results.
