HCLTech Opens New Delivery Centre at Technopark

Thiruvananthapuram, June 2025 – Global technology leader HCLTech inaugurated its second delivery centre in Kerala on Monday, strategically located at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram. The new facility will focus on cutting-edge projects in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies, significantly boosting job opportunities for tech talent in the state.

This milestone comes just seven months after HCLTech launched its first Kerala delivery centre at Infopark, Kochi in October 2024. That facility has since established itself as a hub for Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) technologies catering to sectors including medical, automotive, and semiconductors.

Industries Minister P. Rajeeve expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential to harness Kerala’s strong talent pool and world-class infrastructure to attract further investments. “When HCLTech opened its first unit in Kochi, the company’s Corporate Vice President and Head of Engineering (R&D), Hari Sadarahalli, expressed interest in quickly expanding within Kerala. Just seven months later, that commitment has materialized with this new delivery centre at Technopark,” he said in a statement.

Mr. Rajeeve added that HCLTech’s choice to expand reflects Kerala’s growing appeal as a preferred destination for global tech firms. “The company’s decision is a testament to the quality of human resources and robust infrastructure Kerala offers,” he noted.

The inaugural event at Technopark was attended by several dignitaries, including Seeram Sambasiva Rao, Special Secretary, Electronics & IT and Executive Director of the Information Kerala Mission (IKM); Fabrizio Salvatore, Head of Infrastructure Services and Information Security, EMT Member, Allianz Technology; Jayant Tulsiani, Branch Head, Allianz Technology India; and Sudip Lahiri, Executive Vice President and Head of Financial Services, Europe and UKI, HCLTech.

With this expansion, HCLTech aims to accelerate its growth in AI, GenAI, and cloud-based solutions while creating a new wave of employment opportunities and reinforcing Kerala’s status as a hub for advanced technology and innovation.
