Gshoppe, retail division of MobME announces New Marketing Strategy for Onam

Till recently companies and brands preferred mobile marketing to reach its target audience, which made the customer, give a call or send a SMS. Technology company MobME Wireless’ retail arm GShoppe is set to change this trend. GShoppe this year for Onam offers have introduced the unique concept of placing miss calls and have announced their latest campaign – ‘Miss Call Adikku Swarna Nanayam Nedu’ (Give a miss call and win a Gold Coin!) Offer. GShoppe is one of the fastest growing Home Appliances & Consumer Retail Network with over 60 outlets in Kerala.

GShoppe Director, Sony Joy said, “The concept of miss call campaigns is yet to catch pace and that is the reason we decided to try out this unique activity for this festive season. The campaign has been launched and will be up and live until September 1st, 2012. We have planned statewide promotional activities and prizes range from gold coins to a Hyundai Eon!”

“All a customer has to do is give a miss call to the number 0484-4074646 from a mobile phone and wait for a unique code through a SMS. Visit any GShoppe outlets (to check the outlets visit www.gshoppe.in) in the nearest locality and make a purchase and submit the unique code thus making you eligible to participate in the contest and get one step closer towards winning a gold coin from the daily lucky draw. Four gold coins will be given away to the customers who buy appliances from any GShoppe outlets in Kerala and one gold coin to a lucky miss call winner who does not buy anything, on a daily basis.”

The unique code received through SMS if not used for a purchase, has only one-day validity. But if used for a purchase, will be eligible for all the other lucky draws. Through this campaign customers also stand a chance to win bumper prizes such as LCD TVs, microwave ovens, and even a Hyundai EON car through a mega lucky draw at the end of the campaign.

Customers are not charged for any call as it is a miss call. Moreover the call gets automatically disconnected to ensure that the user is not billed. The mechanism is framed in such a manner that even if the user does not disconnect the call, the system would.
