Importance of Value Addition

He belongs to O-negative blood group, rather a rare group. He created a blood donor’s directory and published the directory. Gradually, Tony became the coordinator of blood donors and beneficiaries. “If you need blood, call Tony” – became the slogan of the town. The voluntary organizations and the Government started recognizing his services. His organization became popular through his fame.

The service organizations (NGOs) approached Tony and offered him honorary membership. He joined one of the largest service organizations in the world. His new roles in the service organization provided him with more opportunities to organize blood donation camps and collected hundreds of additional blood bags per week. Tony worked closely with Regional Cancer Centre, Specialty Hospitals and the Medical College in the City for blood donations.

Another youth voluntary organization which develops young minds to excel through a training platform, identified Tony and invited him to join the organization. He became a member of one of the leading Chapters of the organization in the City. The training organization identified and took up ‘blood donation’ as the key area of service. Tony became a star in organizing ‘Blood Donation Awareness’ seminars and promoted the noble cause of blood donation. State level, National level and International level recognitions were received. Thus, Tony brought many laurels to the organization.

Being a very orderly software engineer, Tony always brings excellent results in all his professional endeavors. He always completes his projects on time too. He was noticed very positively by his Managers. He was well appreciated for classic value addition service projects rendered by him for the society. Naturally, he was considered for the appraisal.
What is the most important point an employee has to keep in mind during the time of appraisal?
