GenAI Conclave to Accelerate Kerala’s Knowledge Economy

Technoparktoday (July, 2024): An international conclave on Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is set to commence on July 11 in Kochi, aiming to boost Kerala’s transformation into a knowledge economy. This two-day event, organized by the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) in collaboration with IBM, will take place at Lulu Grand Hyatt Bolgatty International Convention Center. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the event, marking a significant step towards integrating cutting-edge technology into the state’s development vision.

The Conclave’s Keynote and Inauguration: The inaugural session will be presided over by Industries, Law, and Coir Minister P. Rajeeve, with Chief Secretary Dr. Venu V delivering the keynote address. Lulu Group International CMD Yusuff Ali M.A., also NORKA Roots Vice-Chairman, will be the Guest of Honour. The event promises to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to explore AI’s transformative potential and its impact on society and the economy, highlighting a crucial milestone in AI advancement both in Kerala and nationally.

A Platform for Collaboration and Innovation: With around 1,000 delegates confirmed, including developers, business leaders, academics, students, media analysts, and government officials, the conclave will facilitate a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights. The main-stage agenda includes keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, such as an innovative developer “playground” to explore the latest advancements in AI technology. The event will also feature engaging demos, activations, and opportunities to connect with industry experts, culminating in an awards celebration for outstanding contributions to AI innovation.

Pre-Event Activities and Participating Startups: Leading up to the conclave, two hackathons on the WatsonX platform were held for university students and local startups, with winners to be recognized at the event. Additionally, a series of ‘Tech Talks’ titled ‘Unleashing the Power of Generative AI: Transforming Ideas into Innovation’ were conducted across Technopark, Infopark, and Cyberpark. The conclave will showcase Kerala’s strengths as a hub for AI and robotics enterprises, aligned with the state’s Industrial Policy and budget prioritization of AI. Participating companies and startups include AiWhiz Solutions, Ammras Software Solutions, Athachi, Billionlives Business Initiatives, BuildNext Construction Solutions, Codeofduty Innovations, Docker Vision, Gaude Business & Infrastructure Solutions, Hireflexglobal, IBM, Ionaught Technologies, Lares.ai, Mandara.ai (Styavent Innovation), Paradym.ai, Picky Assist, Skysmile Technologies, Third Day Academy, Todo Sales App – Sales DAD ai, Tuttifrutti Interactive, Urav Advanced Learning Systems, Xplor Rides, and Zedilab Software Systems. The anticipated outcomes include investment proposals, collaborations, and enhanced networking opportunities, setting the stage for a future-ready AI ecosystem in Kerala.
