Excessive Auto fare and Misbehavior by Auto drivers

TechnoparkToday.com>> July 27, 2013:  Technopark employees are being charged excessive fare by Auto drivers in Kazhakuttom.   “We have to pay Rs. 25 for one Kilometer journey from Technopark main gate to Thejaswini building, and Rs. 40 – 50 for two Kilometers journey from Kazhakuttom Railway station to Technopark.

From kazhakootam junction to Thejeswini Building, for the 2 Km, they charging Rs 40 and from Kariyavatom college junction to Thejeswini Building, 1.5 km ,they charging Rs 30.

It is probably the only place in the city where the auto drivers are not using auto meters for charging.  If questioned, they will misbehave to passengers including ladies.

I already summit a complaint regarding this to transport commissioner Rishi Raj Singh and waiting for his response.  We need pre-paid auto counter in this area and immediate action against the driver’s misbehavior to passengers,” said Dr. T. Sugathan, Ariva Med Data Info Tech, Technopark.

Though this year’s corporation budget has proposed a pre-paid auto counter in four locations in the city including Technopark, it is yet to materialize.  TechnoparkToday had approached authorities raising this demand multiple times in the past.
