Art for Heart – Painting exhibition by NSS unit, CET at Technopark

TechnoparkToday.com(March, 2014): National Service Scheme unit of College of Engineering Trivandrum (https://www.facebook.com/nsscet), is organizing a painting exhibition in co-operation with Technopark from March 18th to march 21st 2014, at the technopark campus, inorder to raise funds for charity purpose.

The funds raised in this exhibition will be used to finish a study hall constructed by the volunteers of CET for the children in CHILLA (www.chillaindia.weebly.com, www.anannia.org), a children’s home for the most discriminated section of the society.

The study hall employed a unique construction method – using PET BOTTLES used as bricks after tightly jamming it with mud (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HACVqaXm97A). The mud for filling the bottle and for plastering is taken from the work site itself.

The first phase of the exhibition was conducted at the college campus itself for raising funds for SUKRITHAM a charitable organization housing cancer affected children during the period of their treatment at RCC. The event got warm response from the CET community.
