High Level Delegation from Nagaland Visits Technopark to Replicate “Kerala Model”

A high level delegation from the Department of Information Technology and Communication, Government of Nagaland, visited Technopark Trivandrum on June 15-16, 2011, with the objectives of replicating the “Kerala Model” of IT development by establishing IT Parks in Nagaland and exploring possible ways of association with Technopark and the T-TBI. This North-Eastern state has plans to establish a Technology Business Incubator with the support of Technopark TBI.

 

The delegation that visited Technopark consisted of Vikho-o Yhoshu, Advisor to the Chief Minister, IT&C; K T Sukhalu, IAS, Secretary, IT&C; Imjung M Panger, Director, IT&C; Tongtiliba Longkumer, Assistant Director, IT&C; Johnny Humtsoe, SO, IT&C; Sabou Yashu and Daniel Krocha, Program Officers; and Yanger Longkumer, Project Assistant, IT&C.

 

The delegation is reported to have held very productive discussions with Technopark officials. The team also had a discussion with T Balakrishnan IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Kerala. They also met with His Excellency Rashid Al Leem, Director General, Hamriyah Free Zone.

 

The delegation also visited the Kerala State IT Mission and held discussions with Ishita Roy IAS, Director, KSITM; and Korath V Mathew, Director, Akshaya to study the working of the respective centers. They also had interactions with some successful companies from the T-TBI. The team also visited the Infosys campus to study about green buildings.
