SPIC-MACAY Launching Thiruvananthapuram Chapter

November 26, 2012 >>Spicmacay, a cultural organization promoting classical art forms, launching its Thiruvananthapuram Chapter on 28 Nov 2012, 5:00 p.m at the Senate Hall, Unniversity of Kerala.

Spicmacay seeks to conserve and promote an awareness of this rich and heterogeneous cultural tapestry among the youth of this country through focus on the classical arts, with their attendant legends, rituals, mythology and philosophy and to facilitate an awareness of their deeper and subtler values.

The chapter will be inaugurated by  Sri V.S Shivakumar, Hon Minister for Health, Family Welfare & Devaswom. This will be followed by a Violin concert by Padmabhushan Prof. T. N Krishnan & a Bharatanatyam Performance by Smt. Rama Vaidyanathan.
