The Singam Effect! – 40% Drop in Road Accidents.

Rishiraj Singh Effect!

TechnoparkToday.com >> The very strict decision to suspend the license of reckless drivers reduced the road accidents. Thanks to  Transport Commissioner Rishi Raj Singh!

The result we can see in Casualty departments in various hospitals, including the medical college, Trivandrum. Tracking the speeding, drunk and reckless four wheeler drivers reduced the road accidents especially during night. the increase of helmet usage in two wheeler reduced the head injury and death rates.  For example, the ortho department of medical college used to get 50 road accident causalities in every night and now its reduced considerably.

According to the statistics, 80% of the road accidents are due to the drunk driving – Most of the times head on collision, and such kind of accidents are more severe and survival rates are very low. Motor Vehicle Department now taking strict actions like suspending the license of drunk drivers than imposing a fine. and they have to face the court. the repeated offenders will loose their license forever .

Also the active inspection of MVD reduced the speeding youngsters in sports bikes. Now the kowdiar vellayambalam, and airport roads are more peaceful and safe since – those speeding kids are afraid of Singam.

All credits goes to Rishiraj Singh and his department for the strict inspection and actions, and denying any kind of political or other influences and recommendation. Now everyone in city driving very carefully and obeying the traffic rules.

Rishiraj Singh got a huge fan-base especially in social media. there are more than 39K followers in facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rishiraj-Singh-IPS/561619173848560 ). “We are willing to obey the rules, if a police officer like Rishiraj Singh insist us to do so” – says Sajith Krishnan – A rider from Technopark.

  1. Yes, we need such very strict officers in every department. then people start obeying the rules, and we can stop the corruption in that department. Now a days the rules are for violating it seems, our people have a special joy in violating any rules and they know nobody will take any actions against it, and even if somebody take any action – the violators will influence the officers with the help of politicians or any other influential people. But an office like RishiRaj Singh can change everything. – Salutes Sir. we are seeing a real officer now.

  2. Thank you Mr. Singh, you has proved that ours is not a broken system, all we need is officers to enforce the rules in every deparment. These developments have improved the quality of driving and life in all around Trivandrum city. I used to be always on the watch for two wheeler bikes to cut me from either left or right who came out of the blue.

If Mr. Singh would look into bringing a few more changes there will be a tremendous decrease in accidents around the city.

    1. Slow moving traffic such as JCB’s, tipper lorry’s, and driving schools from going on the main road during peak hours. This causes accidents since the other drivers are frustrated so they try to honk and pass them.

    2. Ensure that Parking regulations are adhered to at all times in all locations.

    3. Stray dogs cause a number of accidents on the NH Bypass which should be taken care of.

    4. Sidewalks be free from parked cars and shopkeepers so that the pedestrians need not walk among the traffic.

  3. 5. Ensuring pedestrians do not walk on the road if footpath or enough space is available for them to walk.
    6. Prevent Forced Overtaking by KSTRC and other buses along the highways. These drivers don’t care any vehicle coming from the opposite direction while overtaking.

  4. I wonder if we have any means to reach Rishiraj singh directly. What about calling him for a meeting somewhere in Technopark? so that techies can share their ideas with Singh.

If such an officer is there in any department – i’m sure kerala would become like a dubai.

  5. Now we’ve got an officer. Lets support him for his efforts.

  6. Sometimes I feel like the KSRTC should be banned at all. Two times I escaped for luck – while those buses overtaking another bus! These drivers don’t care. Even if there’s an accident or damage to our car/bikes, they have nothing to lose.

    7. If a KSRTC bus is making an accident and damage, the responsibility should go to the driver, and he should pay all the money from his own pocket, losing his salary for some months.

  7. Lets make a try. it we can do it that would be a great thing for us.
