Trivandurm: Today 2010 January 15th, world witnessing another longest solar eclipse.
At approx 1:20 pm India time, the solar eclipse will enter India at Trivandrum in Kerala and exits India at Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. The eclipse is viewable for 10.4 minutes in India.
This eclipse is called as the annular eclipse of the Sun with a magnitude of 0.9190.
The best location to view this eclipse in India is in between Kodandaramar Temple islet and Dhanushkodi,
This will be the first solar eclipse of the year 2010.
This ECLIPSE is called ANNULAR which means viewers still could see the SUN. Its vouched as second- best eclipse of its kind out of so far experienced in the solar eclipses. As the duration is also said to be the longest and which won’t be exceeded for 1000 years.
The sky enthusiasts are seriously looking forward to see it as the last solar eclipse , because July 22nd 2009 eclipse was dampened due to cloudy weather.
