Technopreneur 14 @ Technopark on July 22

TechnoparkToday.com>>  July 20, 2014: To give a boost to the entrepreneurship culture among the youth in the state and to create a perfect eco system for their growth, the DSIR Technopark TOCIC is organizing a workshop titled “Technopreneur 14” at Travancore Hall, Park Centre, Technopark campus, Thiruvananthapuram on July 22 at 10 am.

The workshop, organized in association with Union Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Kerala IT, Technopark-TBI and Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), will be a platform fortechnology entrepreneurs in the state to know more about business opportunities.

The workshop will focus on creating awareness on how to transform ideas into reality and become successful ‘Technopreneurs’.  The workshop mainly targets prospective innovators, student innovators, startup companies and MSME clusters.

The event will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister for Industries & IT Shri P K Kunhalikutty in the presence of SmtArunaSundararajan, IAS, Addl Chief Secretary & MD, KSIDC and Shri PH Kurian IAS, Principal Secretary IT & Industries.

The Minister will also launch the official website of Young Entrepreneurs Summit (YES), an initiative by the Kerala government to promote young entrepreneurs in the state, on the occasion. YES is a key initiative of the state government organised by KSIDC along with Technopark, Infopark, KINFRA, Technopark TBI, Startup Village, TiE and CII.

The workshop will help the innovators understand how to transform their crazy ideas or technology innovations into technical prototypes and later into market value prototypes through utilizing the PRISM (Promoting Innovations in Individuals, Startups and MSMEs) funding mechanism of DSIR, Govt of India. The workshop will have sessions on PRISM, Patenting of Innovations, R & D Scenario and Innovations in MSMEs. Successful entrepreneurs from the state will also share their experience with the youngsters.
