Technopark Firm Develops Free Calling Facility

Within two months after its release, BounzD, the innovative widget for business calling over the web for free has turned a big hit. The widget, developed by the Waybeo Technology Solutions Private Limited in Technopark, can be attached to websites, blogs or social networking sites so that by clicking the button, the customer can talk with the business provider absolutely free of cost.  The direct online interaction is made easy for the clients equipped with a microphone- enabled laptop, PC or mobile phone with Internet connection. In the absence of the aforementioned microphone facilities, BounzD has another feature, where the caller can drop in their telephone number so that they will receive a call instantaneously from the business provider.

The beta version, which was released in April first week, 2011, was tried among 65 customers. After receiving the feedback from it, the first version with advanced features was released in August.  Says Bushairusalam A P, Chief Executive Officer of Waybeo Technology Solutions Private Limited, “After trying the beta version, we considered the need of customers to have an alternative solution to connect a call in the absence of microphone or headset. It was then that the call-back facility of dropping the mobile phone number was added. So as to prevent duping, a verification code is sent to the telephone number before talking to the person in this regard.”

BounzD is available in three packages, the bronze package for Rs 15,000, the silver package for  Rs  45,000 and gold package for Rs 90,000 per year. They are designed in such a manner to suit startups – social networks -personal blogs, small and medium business enterprises and large enterprise websites respectively.  The features too vary according to each package. While bronze package supports only one call at a time, the silver and golden packages can connect to five and 15 calls at the same time respectively.

 

On a trial basis, the widget was embedded in www.malapadakkam.com, a site launched for free home delivery of crackers during the festive season of Deepavali this year, which has received a huge response from the customers. Says Manu Dev, Chief Human Resource Officer of Waybeo, “through the assistance of BounzD, 700 orders were placed altogether in the season. As a human assistance was available, customers expressed more satisfaction talking to us.”  As customers are enabled to talk free over web as the charges are borne by the business provider, it has already created a mark in the business scenario. Construction firms, hotel business and e-commerce ventures are among the clientele of BounzD.  Says Dinesh Balakrishnan, general manager, Business Development, of Artech Realtors, “within around one-and-a-half months after installing the widget on our site, tremendous was the customer response we received. As they are getting a free platform to talk with us, customer satisfaction provided by BounzD is great. It therefore has been beneficial for our business also.” According to Manoj Reghunathan Nair, deputy manager, Products and Business Development, with Great India Tour Company, “in August, we installed BounzD on our website. Overseas customers are more benefited through this than domestic customers. As it connects to the concerned expert directly, it also saves time.”  BounzD Version 1 has got a huge clientele in countries, including the UK, the US, Cyprus, Canada, Germany and Holland. BounzD was among the six products from India displayed at the recently-concluded NASSCOM product conclave in Chennai.  Waybeo is planning to release Version 2 within three months with several new additions.
