‘Techno Circle’ from district Police to help Techies

July 19, 2014: A good news for Technopark employees facing various problems created by criminals and anti-socials in the area. District police administration is planning to set up a ‘Techno Circle’ in to address such issues.

The new plan will be implemented once the procedures to bring the Kazhakkoottam police station under the jurisdiction of the City Police Commissioner are completed. The Techno Circle will cover the area of the Thumba police station as well as that of the Kazhakkoottam police station.

The huge rise in the population of Kazhakkoottam area is the reason behind the shifting of Kazhakkoottam police station to the jurisdiction of the City Police Commissioner. “The number of residents in Kazhakkoottam area has been increasing sharply compared to earlier years owing to the opening of more and more companies and arrival of their employees. Around 1.5 lakh people are residing in the area now. Meanwhile, the criminal activities are also increasing here. So, to suppress such anti-social activities, more policing is required,” Said Rajpal Meena, SP Rural.

After the implementation of this plan, the surveillance will get uniformity and become more effective in this area which would help control the anti-socials and criminals.
