US Consulate Official visits Technopark

Trivandrum, October 7, 2011 – Mr. James Golsen, who has recently taken over as Principal Commercial Officer of US Consulate, Chennai visited Technopark. He held interactions with various companies of Technopark companies. He was accompanied by Mr. P Vaidyanathan, Sr. Commercial Specialist, of US Consulate.

He explained and clarified on the various incentives for investment and for facilitation of visas to all the companies who were present. Technopark CEO, Mervin Alexander conducted a presentation on Kerala as an IT destination and its prospects.

Mr. James Golsen was very impressed with his visit to Technopark and he assured special incentives for Technopark companies and also said that Kerala will be henceforth added as a destination for visiting US business delegations.

Mervin Alexander said, “60 per cent of our business is with the US and therefore this session with Mr. James Golsen was a very fruitful session and the companies who participated also benefited from the session. We are looking forward to the visit of the new Chennai’s US Consul General Ms. Jennifer A McIntyre in December.”

The delegation then visited UST Global and Toonz Animation offices in Technopark campus. Representatives from Azinova Technologies, Mindsoft Technologies, Artin Dynamics, Renynex Software, Speridien Technologies, Dev Web Services, Hages Business Solutions, Assure Business Solutions, IIC Web Solutions, efx IT Solutions, Extolution, GeoTrans Technologies, Acts Info, Palnar Transmedia, Saturn Systemwareees, And Art Technologiesss participated in the session with Mr. James Golsen. Mr. M Vasudevan, Sr. Business Manager of Technopark was also present at the session.

  1. great going. this visit will be a good move from the side of technopark. most of the business is still from the US, and the consulate person can take a very favourable decision when a visa request is coming from a company in technopark. this is a very diplomatic and strategic move. kudos mervin and everyone behind it.
