Oratrium 2014: Public Speaking and Debate Reality Show for Students

Oratrium logo (1)TechnoparkToday.com: In order to enhance the communication skills of students in English language, JCI Thiruvananthapuram, an international organization focusing on the training and development of youth, will organize a public speaking and debate reality show, ‘Oratrium 2014’, on October 25.

Students from Class IX to XII of various schools in the district can participate in the contest, which is being held in association with St Thomas Residential School on its premises.  The contest has been designed to identify, assess, motivate and reward the oratory skills in children.

The intention of this programme is to encourage and explore young talents and create a growth platform for the youth of the city. The show will have six different segments, and a final session comprising five filtering rounds. The winner would be named as Mr/Ms Orator.

All participants will be given certificates.  Separate awards will be given to winners of all rounds of the contest. The winner will be presented with a trophy, certificate of appreciation and a prize money of Rs 25,000. The first and second runners-up will be awarded cash prize of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 each respectively.
