NH Bypass turns Death Trap

TechnoparkToday.com>> The NH bypass has witnessed four accident deaths in a span of 8 days. The ongoing road widening works and negligent attitude of motorists are the reason behind most accidents.

The National Highway Authority of India is widening the road from Kazhakoottam to Karode in 45 metres. The stretch has uneven width and levels due to the works. Lack of proper street lights adds to the confusion.

Following accidents, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has installed additional reflectors and caution boards in the stretch. However, it is important for motorists, especially techies working in odd hours, to be cautious while driving in the stretch.
