Medical Image Computing Workshop in Technopark

The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management – Kerala (IIITM-K) is organising a National Workshop on Medical Image Computing (NWMIC011), along with the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology (SCTIMST), in Technopark Trivandrum from December 12 to 16, 2011. The workshop, touted to be the first national level workshop in Medical Image Computing, is sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Prof. Radhakrishnan, Director, SCTIMST and Prof. Elizabeth Sherly, Director, IIITMK, will inaugurate the workshop on December 12 at the Park Centre in Technopark. It will have technical sessions by Prof. N. R. Jagannathan, AIIMS; Dr. Chebrolu Vanuatu, GE JFW; Dr. Pallavi Ajinepalli, Philips Research Asia; Dr. Sarif Kumar Naik, Philips Research Asia, Bangalore; Prof. Prabhat Munshi, IIT Kanpur; Prof Naren Naik, IIT Kanpur; Prof Amesh R Galigekere, Manipal University; Prof. Joseph Suresh Paul, IIITM-K; and Prof. Alex Pappachen James, IIITM-K.

The workshop is also expected to feature presentations and poster exhibitions by students.
