Thiruvananthapuram, July, 2025 — The much-anticipated Raviz Prathidhwani Sevens Season 8, Kerala’s premier football tournament for the IT community, has officially launched at Technopark. Organized by Prathidhwani—the welfare and recreation forum for IT professionals—in collaboration with Yoode Promotions and Raviz Hotels, the event promises three months of spirited competition, featuring over 2,500 players.
Indian Beach Football captain Rohit Yesudas inaugurated the tournament, setting the stage for a series of seven-a-side football matches that will run until October. The opening ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including Ayyappan Nallaperumal (GM, Leela Raviz Kovalam), Prem Kamal (Director of Sales & Marketing), Sarath Madathil (DGM, Marketing & Special Projects), Surjith (Business Development Manager, Yoode), and key representatives from Prathidhwani—Vipin KV, Rajith VP, Vineeth Chandran, Vishnu Rajendran, Saneesh KP, Ajmal Shakir, and Rajeev Krishnan.

The event kicked off with a vibrant trophy exchange between the reigning champions and the organizers, a spirited bike rally involving team members, and the official unveiling of team jerseys, setting a festive tone for the weeks to come.
This year’s tournament will feature 164 matches played over weekends at the Technopark ground, with over 101 teams representing more than 90 IT companies. Following the league stage, teams will progress to knockout rounds, with the semifinals and finals scheduled on working days.
Winners of the final will receive a cash prize of ₹25,000, an ever-rolling trophy, and a one-night stay at the Raviz Ashtamudi Resort in Kollam. Additional awards will be presented for Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, and Top Scorer. Every match will also recognize a ‘Player of the Match,’ sponsored by Yoode and Sanchi Bags.
Spectators will also have the opportunity to win prizes throughout the tournament. A special five-a-side women’s football tournament will be conducted alongside the main event, encouraging wider participation and inclusivity.
Infosys holds the record with five championships to their name, while UST Global has twice dethroned them to clinch the title.
