Yummy Aid’ celebrated by NowU, UST Global

>>TehchnoparkToday>>The Network of Women USsociates (NowU) at UST Global, one of the largest IT employers in Kerala, today organized their annual food festival, ‘Yummy Aid’ at their office in Bhavani, Technopark. The food festival started at 10 am and went on till 2:30 pm. Yummy Aid had 40 teams participating and the contest was judged by Mr. Sashi Jacob, General Manager and Corporate Chef, Muthoot Skychef and Ms. Vidya Tiwary, Banquets Manager, The Muthoot Skychef. The event was inaugurated by Ms. R Pushkalammal, Headmistress; Kanyakulangara Govt. School. This LP school was established in 1897 and has students starting from play school upto 4th standard. A part of contribution from this event will be provided through UST Global Foundation to build a computer lab for the children of the school.

Like previous years this year too, Yummy Aid managed to draw attention of all the USsociates. The event saw huge participation in the contest as well as from the USsociates who wanted to pamper their taste buds. The judges had a great time testing culinary skills of the participants and a tough time judging their dish. NowU organizes Yummy Aid every year and stalls are set up where teams of participants display the dishes they prepare. The preparations are then open for judgment and for  all to relish them. Every year the proceeds go towards social cause. Overwhelmed by the involvement of USsociates for the noble cause Ms. Hema Menon, India Head, NowU, UST Global said, “ Every year we organize this, one of the most popular fests of UST Global, and we are delightfully surprised each year by the increase in the number of participants. This is the time when the IT experts also get to show off about their hidden culinary skills and everyone gets to have a taste of it! The best part of the celebrations is that proceeds from this event  are contributed towards noble causes. This makes our celebrations complete and gives us a sense of contentment”
