Wait for Technopark – Balaramapuram Monorail..!
>>After introducing the successful service of air-conditioned Volovo buses, the Government is planning to introduce monorail traffic system in the city. A monorail traffic system to connect Kazhakkoottam and Balaramapuram via Medical College, Thampanoor, Karamana and Pappanamcode has been figured by the Government. Sources told media that a blueprint for the proposal will be discussed by the State Cabinet on Wednesday. The feasibility study for the project will be conducted soon after getting authorization by the Cabinet.
A monorail is a rail-based transportation system based on a single rail, which acts as its sole support and its guideway.
India’s first monorail system is currently under construction for the city of Mumbai. Construction began in January 2009, and the first portion of the first line is scheduled to be operational by December 2011. Once completed, it will be world’s second longest monorail corridor.

I would love to travel in our own Monorail…….
am sure will happen this but will take min.30 yrs.
eg: M.G. Road widening in TVM city : proposed on 1985 . happened on 2011.
Vizhinjam port :proposed on 1960-1965 .Still studies are conducting like environmental,pollution etc..
So lets cross our fingers atleast next generation will njoy.

The monorail project extended to Attingal, instead of kazhakkuttam. now the trivandrum metro rail is from Attingal to Balaramapuram
