Violence and attacks against techie womens in and around Technopark

TechnoparkToday.com(March, 2014): Most often violence against women incidents are very similar to this poster. You may notice that she is not smiling anymore or even notice some minor visible wounds. But most often you may not realize the physical torture and mental trauma she may be going through. She may be your friend/colleague/sister/wife/mom/daughter or she may be you yourself!!!

And the worst part is, the number of ‘She’s who are going through this situation in an around Technopark area is skyrocketing. The home of ‘single largest source of employment in Kerala’ is also becoming the hub of rapists, molesters, perverts and anti-social criminals. As per records a dozen of molestation cases are reported on an average in and around Technopark every month.

If you know someone who have been to such a disaster or have something to say about this issue, here is  a chance to voice your opinion. IAK along with TechnoparkToday.com conducting an online survey to understand the depth and impact of this menace and at the same time act as a platform for people who have suppressed thier emotions (on something which they saw/knew/experienced) because of inhibitions.

This is very significant considering the number of cases which are going unreported. So kindly click this link and respond to this survey (with or without revealing your identity).

  5. thanks for taking the lead. this is a serious problem now a days around technopark. most of the times the local anti-socials are behind this. but they blame the bangali workers. the technopark back gate area is one of the notorious places. the locals from that area is the culprits behind it.

  6. there is no point in giving petition. we need active follow-ups and raise our voice till it gets implemented and effective. for that all techies should unite.

  7. @manu

Just file a petition collecting signatures from the employees and submit the same to the chief minister, requesting for a police aid post at the back gate. Some changes can be made in the attitude of the so called anti socials.

  9. attacks against ladies working in technopark is increasing day by day in an alarming rate. most of such incidents are not reporting. most of the times they are targeting the non-keralite girls, so that they won’t have any clue on how to react or where to lodge a complaint. Some local anti socials are behind this, and they are working as a gang and usually comes as more than one person in a bike. Technopark Back gate area is one of such dangerous area, and three men in bike are the nightmare of girls walking there day and night. those people are locals and they are molesting the girls walking there – no matter single or as a group or night or daytime.
