UST Global to provide free Insulin pumps to poor kids

insulin-pump-ust-globalTechnoparkToday.com>> Technopark-based UST Global to help financially poor children with type 1 diabetes by providing free insulin pumps, accessories and continuing care, in association with Kesavadev Trust. UST Global country head Alexander Varghese announced this at a function organized at Jyothydev’s Diabetes Research Center (JDRC).

MP Shashi Tharoor inaugurated the function.

“Children with type 1 diabetes require insulin pumps to lead a normal life. Providing insulin pumps to ailing children is equivalent to gifting them life.” said Dr. Jyothidev Kesavadev, director JDRC.

Dr Scott Lee, Prof of diabetes, Loma Linda University, California, USA, the gust speaker spoke on newer technologies in diabetes treatment.
