TechnoparkToday.com(Oct, 2018): Taurus Investment Holdings, together with its partners – Embassy Group and Asset Homes, formally kick started its first investment in India by launching DOWNTOWN TRIVANDRUM- a landmark project located at the heart of Technopark, Trivandrum.

Downtown Trivandrum, being developed by Taurus along with its partners Embassy Group and Asset Homes is a mixed-use project with 55 lakhs sq.ft of built-up space in 20 acres of land located within Phase 3 of Technopark. The project will consist of Embassy Taurus TechZone, Trivandrum – a state-of the-art office complex encompassing 33 lakh sq.ft of collaborative and healthy workspaces, Taurus Zentrum, Trivandrum - a 12 lakh sq.ft world-class, retail and entertainment centre, Asset Taurus Identity- 315 units of serviced residences and a 200 key Business Hotel. Downtown Trivandrum is expected to pave the way for a a true transformation of the city and will boost Kerala’s IT ecosystem.
Embassy Taurus TechZone (ETTZ), Trivandrum will start meeting the space needs to technology firms, even before the construction of the first phase of SEZ office building gets completed in 2020. Keystone,a first-of-its-kind in Kerala prefabricated, incubation space facility with a built-up area of 62,500 sq.ft would be provided to companies that have signed up for space in ETTZ. With 800 estimated seats on two floors, companies will be able to kick-start their operations in ETTZ as early as March 2019.
Embassy Taurus TechZone is expected to generate 30,000 plus direct jobs. The world’s largest coworking service provider WeWork will be establishing a facility in ETTZ. Taurus and Embassy are in advanced discussions with multiple technology majors to be take up space in TechZone.
Apart from tech jobs, Zentrum – the retail and entertainment center would bring in a major change by providing world-class social infrastructure to Technopark, ushering in a cultural shift by integrating work and leisure at different levels. Mexico-based cineplex major Cinepolis will set up Kerala’s largest multiplex with 15 cinema screens in Zentrum, including the State’s first IMAX screen.
All components of the project will conform to the highest standards of sustainability and will feature extensive use of smart-city technology including AI and IoT elements.Preliminary work, including test piling, is already underway and construction work is expected to start by first week of November with an expected completion date in mid-2020
