There are benefits coming to those seeking jobs, as a hiring wave by India’s outsourcing sector is set to increase recruitment by nearly 70 percent in the next financial year, according to the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom).

UST Global , one of the biggest employers among software development companies in Kerala, has been accorded the Co-Developer status for setting up its own Private IT campus near Technopark Trivandrum. The approval is given by the Board of Approval of the Ministry of Commerce.
By becoming the co-developer of Technopark, UST Global would be eligible to claim all the government benefits, that is otherwise limited only to the main developers. Other Technopark based companies that enjoy the co-developer status are Infosys Technologies, IBS Software Services and Tata Consultancy Private Limited.

The global retail giant - Walmart has selected three IT vendors in India - Infosys Technologies, Cognizant Technology Solutions and UST Global for multi-year contracts worth over $600 million (around Rs 2,750 crore).
The amount is roughly equivalent to the value of goods - textiles, handicrafts and other products — that the world’s largest retailer sources from India every year.

It is learnt that Infosys, the country’s second-largest information technology services provider, has told its senior managers (project managers, senior and group project managers, delivery managers) to give the lowest performance rating (4 on a scale of 1-4) to the ‘underperforming’ 5 per cent as a part of the company’s consolidated relative ranking (CRR).

The oldest and foremost IT park in India - Technopark, Trivandrum embarked on a new stage of growth with the commencement of work on its third phase. Phase III of Technopark will cover an area of 92 acres and will be an IT/ITES special economic zone. While 40 of the 92 acres will be developed by a private developer, the remaining land will be developed by the Technopark authorities.
