There  are benefits coming to those seeking jobs,  as  a hiring wave by India’s outsourcing sector  is set to increase recruitment by nearly 70 percent in the next financial year, according to the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom).
India’s big three outsourcing companies — Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys and Wipro — all have plans to boost hiring sharply in the coming financial year, and have already revealed their requirements.

LogicManse Solutions and MACFAST signed an MoU on Industry Academy interface programme. As part of the agreement LogicManse will open its new development centre at MACFAST in Tiruvalla by the Mid of February. Online carbon credit trading platform from IBS

IBS is planning to launch an online carbon credit trading platform for the airline industry.This e-commerce platform will enable airlines to trade carbon offsets.It would be an IT tool for airlines to find out how much emission their aircraft generate and with the European Commission all set to penalise polluting aircraft, those that have the least emission will be given carbon credits.

Good news for the hungry Technoparkian – a new hotel has come up in Kinfra Media Park, around 3 km from Technopark, Trivandrum. The Bypass , a member of the Travancore Heritage group, has started its operations recently.

External Affairs Minister Shashi Tharoor urged the IT industry to make dedicated efforts to increase domestic usage of IT for better governance and acceptance of IT. UST Global joins Infosys and TCS in recieving Co-Developer status

UST Global , one of the biggest employers among software development companies in Kerala, has been accorded the Co-Developer status for setting up its own Private IT campus near Technopark Trivandrum.  The approval is given by the Board of Approval of the Ministry of Commerce.
By becoming the co-developer of Technopark, UST Global would be eligible to claim all the government benefits, that is otherwise limited only to the main developers. Other Technopark based companies that enjoy the co-developer status are Infosys Technologies, IBS Software Services and Tata Consultancy Private Limited.

The first Kerala State e-Governance Awards 2009 announced.Trissur Collectorate won the best award for Online Service and e-filling while Palakkad Collectorate won the award under the Digital File Flow category. The m-governance award went to Kozhikode Collectorate and the Best Website winner award went to Kerala Tourism.

Kerala Chief Minister V.S Achuthanandan will present the Kerala State e-Governance awards for the year 2008 on December 8, 2009. Twelve government departments and institutions have been shortlisted for the awards for the best e-governance initiative in various categories.

The new power tariff will in all probability come into effect in the State only by December this year.
The Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission has completed the formalities needed for revising the tariff, including the conduct of three separate public hearings in Trivandrum, Kochi and Kozhikode.
The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) had submitted the clarifications sought by the Commission. Meetings were also held with licencees such as the Cochin Port Trust and the Technopark.

Nearly 200,000 jobs in information technology sector would be created in the next two years. This is said by Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan Saturday inaugurated the third IT park in the state - Phase 1 of Infopark Koratty. He also said a Cyber Park at Kozhikode, similar to the IT parks already functioning, would be opened soon.
