>>Travancore hall was jam-packed on Sunday. The ‘qisa’ short film festival organized by Prathidhwani was a real crowd puller as all were eager to watch the movie talents among IT professionals. Twenty-one short films directed by techies competed for the best short film award.
The themes of short films varied from life of techies to issues in their native places. Satires, thrillers and short films based on classics were screened.
The screening started by 9.30 am. Â Techie directors gave a short introduction to their films. Â Some of them were first-time film makers.
The jury consists of author Rose Mary, film critic M S Thomas, and Nooranad Ramachandran, who judged the short films.
“It was a wonderful experience. If there is such a platform next time, I will surely come up with a short film,” said Narayan, an employee of Allianz.
Qisa, Prathidhwani’s second public function after the screening of award-winning Byari, was a huge hit among film loving techies. Many came up with their family to watch the screening of the films.
