Kerala Science Congress in Trivandrum

The 23rd Kerala Science Congress will be held at the Centre for Earth Science Studies (CESS) in Trivandrum from January 29 to 31, 2011. The event is scheduled to be inaugurated by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan on January 29, 2011.

This year’s theme is ‘Science and technology for transforming Kerala into a green economy.’

As part of the science congress, The young scientists will get an opportunity to present their papers. This competetion is open in eleven subject areas. Young Scientist Awards are also given for each of these subjects. This award comprising a cash prize of Rs.25,000 and a plaque considering as the most prestegious award of its kind.

The winners will also be entitled to an annual contingency grant of Rs.1 lakh each to continue their research for two years.
