‘Kadalarivum Camerayum’ Exhibition from 21st till 24th Jan

Technoparktoday.com>> Prakruthi – a voluntary group of techies working towards Green Thoughts & Green Living, in association with Friends of Marine Life(FML) & Kerala Union of Working Journalists(KUWJ) organizes an exhibition of Under water photos and videos ‘Secrets of the Sea and the Camera’(Kadalarivum Camerayum) from 21st till 24th Jan 2016 at Museum Auditorium, Trivandrum. The Exhibition will be inaugurated by Dr D Babu Paul on 21st at 11AM.

Kadalarivum Camerayum is an attempt to take the commoner as well as the expert beneath the waves to reveal, using underwater photography, the wonderful world of colors and vibrant life in the seabed off the Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Kanyakumari districts.

The pictures on display in the exhibition would bring into view the character of seabed and the many life forms that take birth and die there, contributing in their own way to the sustenance of life on
Earth. Among the visuals on view of Fauna, some of which are perhaps yet to be mapped and documented extensively and a wide variety of soft corals, ascidians, Gorgonian fans which radiate life in myriad hues. These were photographed over three years, following up on cues from indigenous knowledge about the coastal and marine ecosystem, using the services of expert divers and under water photographers.
