Infopark Bicycle Club Launched

IBC1 IBC2TechnoparkToday.com>> June 04, 2013: Minister for IT and Industries, Shri P K Kunhalikutty today inaugurated Infopark’s Bicycle Club set up at the campus. The bicycle club set up with the support of Athi’s Bicycle Club will be providing 50 bicycles across 8 racks in the campus for the techies to use for intra campus travel. Techies can avail the bicycle service from Wednesday June 5, 2013 which also happens to be the World Environment Day.

“The very objective of setting up a bicycle club is to endorse cycling among techies and promote a green campus by reducing fuel consumption as well.” Said Infopark CEO, Gigo Joseph.

Bicycle club is being set up at Infopark, following its success since 2011 in Technopark Campus. The bicycles have been sponsored by various companies such as Wipro, Fragomen, Litmus7, Calpine Solutions, UVJ Technologies, HDFC Bank and other companies.

Membership in the bicycle club is absolutely free and techies who wish to join the club just need to send an SMS to 96455 11155. The members will be charged Rs. 2 for per hour and this service is available round the clock.  The club is fully automated and managed via SMSs.
