Club House Harassment : Technopark to be more vigilant in recruitment

TechnoparkToday.com>> Last week, Mr. Rahul – Technopark club house staff was arrested for allegedly trying to harass the foreign students at Technopark Club House Hostel.

Rahul was working as front office assistant here in Technopark club house. Five foreign students including four Americans and one Nigerian were staying in club house as part of some critical research projects in Kerala university.

The incident happened around 1.30am on 7th Mar 2016(Monday). He was drunk and called one of the students over phone and requested to open the door. He had called for more than 20 times as the students were denying his request.

Later he tried to break the door, when it failed he entered the room through ventilator scaling the sunshade and he fled when the women shouted. As per the instruction of Kazhakuttom Cyber City Police Assistant Commissioner Mr. P. Anil Kumar, Rahul was arrested.

Even now the operations of Club House are carried out by Club Society and a complete handover to Technopark is yet to be put on papers. “In order to stop these situations in future, we may implement a strict check during employment of Club House employees, once the Technopark takes up the charge”- says Mr Abhilash(Manager, Technopark).
