Google updates terms of service for scanning e-mails in gmail.

TechnoparkToday.com (April, 2014):  Largest free e-mail providers Gmail’s owner company-  Google has updated its terms of service  for using the gmail account.  The new terms are to reflect that it analyses user content including emails to provide users tailored advertising and customized search results.

Google scans email looking for keywords to target users with paid advertisements.Many people still believes that, the scanning of user’s mail content is an intrusion into user privacy.

The recent update in their privacy policy gives a  better clarity to its users, Google clarifies that emails are automatically scanned to provide users with tailored advertising and better search results.

According to google “Our automated systems analyze your content (including emails) to provide you personally relevant product features, such as customized search results, tailored advertising, and spam and malware detection. This analysis occurs as the content is sent, received, and when it is stored.”
