Ghost in Technopark? A Real life experience ( Updated )
This is an experience of a Technopark employee who passed through the Technopark back gate road ( University campus road).
She explained her strange experience; this is what she had to say to technoparktoday.
“I work for a private firm in Technopark. Due to some work yesterday, I was held back and my return home was delayed.
Around 9:30pm, I started from office on my scooter and passed through the back entrance road (Karyavatom - Thripadapuram road). I chose this road b’cos it was recently tarred and was a better and smoother road and I was afraid of taking the Kazhakootam road due to fear of hooligan activities that had occured recently.
As soon as I passed out of the back entrance, a jeep hurried towards me from the opposite side and applied brakes suddenly. Luckily I could maintain my balance and was not thrown out from my scooty.
When I crossed the first hump on the road, the current went out and it was completely dark. There were no lights from the nearby houses and the silence coupled with the cloudy atmosphere added to the fiery night. The little light in my scooty helped me propel to my target. I accelerated my vehicle. Suddenly I noticed something moving in front of me some few meters away, somewhere near to the right turn in the road. I applied the brakes of my vehicle as it turned out to be a completely strange thing. It had the height of 2 persons mounted on each other and was fatter than a normal person. A dark blanket covered the whole ‘thing’ and it was moving (floating) towards the University road. As soon as the thing went out of sight, I rushed away on my vehicle with little life in my body.
Later i explained this shocking story to family, but they wouldn’t believe..”
What do you think? While we still argue that this is the 21st century, the digital world, can we neglect such real life incidents and experiences of many folks? This is not the first time we have heard about such experiences at the Technopark back gate. As many people say, Karyavattom Campus road is a haunted place, that area is said to be a sensitive place, as described in history.

The Hymavathi pond is considered as one of the haunted places in Karyavattom campus. after this report an expert group, experienced in tracing out and researching in haunting and haunted places made a detailed study, and here is the report:
We had a detailed coverage of that area for our Google Maps and few other applications.
What we found was the pond was thickly surrounded by bushes and trees except at one place.
No one felt any presence of paranormal activities, variation in energy levels or vibrations.
Also our cameras, sound detectors, magnetometers failed to detect any kind of unusual activates in most of the areas.
Well except the magnetometer shows quite strange readings at a particular area located just by the side of the pond, the Hymavathi Pump house, and an abundant settlement about 100 m behind the aquatic house.The white lines represent the path we took ( courtesy: Jomy )

this girl has read the old article of that pond and ghost…this is called “illusion” in psychology…its a disease….i go home everyday riding my scooty through back gate and there were times when i had to travel even at 10.30…i havent seen any ghosts yet!! believe in God and not Ghosts.
I lived for a year in the karyavattom campus and have cruised many times in the late nights through the campus roads, may be after my work or after my city outings.
But I never faced such incidents nor heard the same from any of my friends ho did opt this road after their late exit from work.
This could be burglars who intend to snatch our money by scaring us.

The real thing is that already she was afraid to travel from that gate, and that fear came into her mind when she travelled alone from backgate…..
Cool…. I’m one of the frequent user to that road.. i haven’t noticed anything seriously,even i travelled couple of times by 1:00 AM (recently last week .). i’m not ignoring you. the incident may be your psychological mapping towards a ghost. Be’coz you was disturbed by the jeep already.
These types of stories are mainly marketed by anti social elements. It will somehow help in their activities.
The hostel students may be innocents. They might saw the ghost. But was it a ghost?

Hey, I have also read a similar experiance in Manorama. The image that was narrated in the article was also something as tall as 2 people. Sounds interesting! The psychologyst who narrated this incident says that only some people experiance these kind of incidents and that was related to the Hymavathi pond in karyavattom campus where a girl committed suicide some years back due to love failure. They say that such incidents might happen when the time, climate & atmosphere resembles the time when that incident happened years back.

Yesterday I talked to that ghost and she assured me that she will not harm to any of technopark employees. But may harm to others because they are using that road with something in mind. But techno park employees exempted from ghost.

Believe it or not, such invisible creatures are there in the nature. but it can be seen only when the vibrations of such creatures/spirits interfere with the vibrations of human beings. then only you can feel the presence of them. many studies have been conducted in this subject.
as manorama article said ( not manorama, thats an expert conducted so many studies about this particular subject ) it may happen, when all the necessery enviornments comes together, not necesserly it may appear all the time, or when you intend to see that. but an expert in this area can sense the negative energy and its vibrations very easily.

my god, the place looks very scary and isolated. my opinion is to avoid this road in late hours, especially by girls when you are alone.
the existance of ghosts is a matter of arguments, but as somebody mentioned here, the fear with in yourself is the biggest enemy. i can’t neglect the fact because many people had seen it in the same manner . either it is some anti social element, or it may some kind of phenomenon
as far as i know, the place which technopark resides is a very sensitive area. it was like a jungle and it says the marthanda varma murdered ettuvetil pillamar and their dependends there. also that was a place for all anti social activities, and many murders were happened in that place.
anyway it is an interesting subject to debate, whether ghost exists or not. i heard about somebody in kerala university who is researching in the ghosts, spirits and such super naturals.

reminds me of my teenage, when I’d carried a fried of mine on my shoulder to scare an acquaintance of ours. however, it so happened that we were spotted by quite a few nearby who ran for their lives. later we all had a good laugh over it.
We were styed in karyavattom compus quoters.. during our engineering studies in karyavattom campus. We three.. Me,Ullas & Rana alse ehred this like anonimus spekings and walking sounds in night.

Even though, the law which rules the divine spiritual world and our world appears as different, they are the two different form of that GREAT RULE. There is no need of any worries over this incident. The divine Spirit is not able to do any harm to anybody. Every thing happened according to LORD wish, for a good reason and there is a meaning behind every incidence happening in this world. Hey I’m hareesh. i studied in University college and stayed near by this place. its real and we experienced it ( not only me, most of my friends stayed there ). many of us still believes that something is there ( either human or supernaural ). we inspected the place many times when we heard the sounds and all. and we heard the sound of heavy chains dragging through the ground during the midnight, and we rushed outside and searched the sorroundings. but we can’t see anything there..it is not a single occurance. it happened manytimes. so if you guys think it is not there, you have to investigate more about this.
you can get the same feedbacks from many people still living there. if you are that much curious just enquire about it and then comment.
we would also like to know the actual thing behind it. whether it is human or ghost.

this kind ‘ f stories are not new. but we cann’t say it is completely a story or completely supernatural. rather supernaturals can perform such things, we can also expect someone who take this chance to do something illegal.
of course, there are invisible powers with negative energy (or negative energy forms) and that can do such things. but when it will come or wht it will do to get our attraction, we cannt predict. I hav similar exprnces many times with both positiv and negtiv energy forms during my tantric sessions (am studying mantra). tht is not harmful if we take required care and cautions. only an expert with tantric powers or a scientist who is exorsist, can find out the reason behind this.

I m one among the frequent travellers via that route. I didnt had any exp like this. Its only the fear inside you that came out like this. Then fyi there is another way to the main road from technopark back gate (vechiles were routed via that route during the time of tarring in this road). There r lot of resident villas in that route. I dont thik so they will still stay there if someone have faced any problems like this. It may be only an illusion or some one might have tried to fool you. It can also be some shadows which seems to be like this due to the fear inside you. The power cut issue can be due to the fact that many a times the street lights were not switched on in that road.

First of all there is no ghost, I think these all are the made stories. If you go through the Manorama report, it says the student saw the ghost, and they went near to it. Anybody believe it!!!. “They were seeing the ghost some distance away and over took it”
Usually people would turn back and run away…If it’s that much horror.
This is also something like that in manorama, and she might have read the report in the manorama or heard about the hemavathikulam and the history about it. So she may be driven with these things in mind. So the things happened in ghost’s way.

In my childhood i have heard bout “Pothin Kaal”.A tall guy will come and ask u for a match box,then he will purposefully put that match box down and will ask u to take and lite it..people will get frightened after seeing his legs coz it will look like a buffalo’s leg. Later, the guy was caught.
So don’t believe in those things.
plz dont let your feelings control your mind, ghost is only in your mind it has no physical existance, i repeat no physical existance. But if possible try to avoid that road because every time you get into that road your mind will create that horor picture. Be there in the morning ,try to feel the natural beauty and silence. ( if its true, what i heard there are many girls also taking part in the worships ) . i met one person who claimed himself as an antichirst a few months back

1. Many people admitted that they travelled thru that road in nite. so they might had seen the other as ghost .
2. Some one who want to make that route empty .. ladies hostel may be there attraction or some other anti social activity . so they fabricated a story
3. from the ghost description , it seems that ghost is having a blanket
. so It may be some beggars/Lunatics staying in that woods.
4. Or some one who want to save face
while visiting hostel area ..
5. Some one want to prove that there are stupids among techies
what ever be, this is a good story .. If you belive that there is Ghost , there is it. If you don’t believe - there is no ghost.
I just remember one horror novelist - kottayam pushpa nadh .. he wrote novel like there is ghost under nagambadam bridge, Kottayam .. and after his novel .. some people saw ghost on the bridge hahhahah. Where was that ghost till that novel? may be waiting for a good advertisement introduction and manifestation thru that novel

I stayed in the campus for almost three years. and the girls in my class used to see a ghost everyday when the power goes off. the ghost scales the wall infront of the ladies hostel holding a lighted candle and takes off its clothes one by one. now the candle is near the ghost’s reproductive organ, making sure nobody in the ladies hostel misses the show. My friends used to show me the ghost during the day time. It was a daily wager staying somewhere near the campus, otherwise leading a normal life. The place is full of illiterate people n criminals. kazhakkottam police station is infamous of being the crime hub of kerala, reporting most number of criminal cases every year. So there will be people out to play their tricks on young and heavily paid technoparkies. dont fall for it. We used go near the the haimavathi pond even during midnight. And such things never happned to us. we were only scared of the repitles there.

this in response after seeing the ‘hymavathikulam’ covered in a television prograamme.
i was in technopark from 2000 to 2006 and believe me .. we have frequented this route a zillion times..
cause the only place to get a cigarette on those ‘got please dont repaet’ night outs were at the point where this road meets the main road…somewhere close to the christian church ( not the one at the karivaattom jn).
we’ve seen no ghost..nor even heard anything freaky ever..
but here’s somethings for the progonists and the antagonists.
ive stayed in a house near to the physical educataion centre..
belive me this place ( and the people near thata house) are insanely and neatly ..spooked!!

around half an hour waalk and we saw that we had a lady and somebody like 2 kids walking in front of us..
say…a 10 -15 meters ahead or something and they werewalking real fast..
we thought maybe they are scared of these gangaboozers behind..
so we were like ‘ chechi pedikkenda njangallu kacharakalalla’..

ask him/her/it to get a stool for you..
well even if wat u r seeing is indeed a ghost..im sure it will get freaked ..
thats because he/she/it might be getting such a weird response from a human for the first time.
so ..here he/she/it brings in a stool..
and then you r like..” please climb and stand on top of it..willya?”
the supposed ghost will climb on it and will wonder wats next..
then you will ask this golden question.. ” plese attempt a jump”
the clueless ghost will jump..
then you will pull the stool aside.. and run..
run about 10 feet
stop and turn back..
if you see he/she/it on the floor in a noncomprimising position..
you can stop…
else you may find he/she/it floating..
then dont wait for further instruction….keep running..
by the way you can try this trick on anyone who will resemble a ghost..
say.. your boss or team lead..etc etc..
do the same trick..if you find he/she/it floating..then confirm that you ( and your friends were right!!)

We three people went to this place once and noticed some man made paths in side the forest area which clearly indicates it is not a lonley place but some people are often visiters. She may have experience this. But I am quite sure that such a thing is not there which is ghost. There will be some unusual, antisocial activities taking place which need a curtain made of fear for hiding. It needs more support from the common people in that area to reveal the truth. I am not expecting any help from police department side. I am ready to go there at any time but I am afraid of these man made ghosts and not Hymavathy or any other spirits.

Hope you have all seen “Vishwasichaalum Illenkilum” on October 19th in Asianet. Similar to the Sumathi ghost at Palode, this Hymavathy ghost is being propagated by drug addicts, alcoholics and thieves. The drug and alcohol addicts don’t want anyone to come there at day time and thieves want to cause fear and snatch money and other valuables from Technopark employees who pass by that road at night by planting a woman dressed in white saree.
We want Technopark authorities to put more street lights and police to patrol the street at night, since these antisocial elements are weaving web for their illegal activities (Ref: the Malayalam movie “Kalliyankattu Neeli”) by propagating ghost stories.

One thing i know for sure is that, there is a ladies hostel on the road side, and our ghost might have thought about a peep through one of the hostel windows ( of course, with a 2men height, things are pretty easy for the ghost )some one with a pogo stick can change in to a 12feet ghost

When i was browsing this page , believe me - i noticed my IE window becoming double in size and edge was overflowing from monitor.

Ghosts are everywhere, only thing is we are missing them to see. if there is good, there is an evil. there is god, there will be ghosts.
You know in kerala, there are many people who is worshiping Satan.They are called anti chirsts. they have their own churches. a few of them are in cochin and one such thing is in Trivandrum( Vazhuthacaud )
Many people including gals are very active participants in that group. they used to worship Satan and doing some voodos. some of them are drug addicts and they used to share and drink the blood among them. They used to get together on weekends and most of their activities are during the night time. They have some members from Technopark also.
These people believes in devils and Satanic power and they are worshiping some satanic rituals and voodoos. they have got some disciples from the university campus and they are doing such satanic practices near by the campus.
The girl might be seen such guys, and they used to appear in weird during nights especially they are doing such Voodoos, and they claims like they can attract the ghosts and bad spirits.
Most of them are from very good financial background and they are addicted to the Voodoos, drugs and other activities.
This is really scary. i too heard about the anti christ organizations in trivandrum. but never thought that is worse like this.

This is my native place and there have been lot of incidents from the time of marthandavarma, some may be fake, but see, we cannot give a proof about the existence or nonexistence…

praveen, it is not like that. there are many voodo black magicians and things available, they are a big network ( devil worshippers ) and i know some of them rented a house near pattom marappalam and people are coming after 6-7 PM and they are doing something in the entire night, and after 1-2 days when some of my friends inspected the house when they weren’t there and they found some voodoo dolls with needles all over that.
if you are not a believer, you will believe once you experience that black magic power. there are people like that. they can do any bad things to you. they can influence your thoughts by doing evil things.

I agree to the point that lot of skulls have been found from the place where technopark is situated & the forests near campus.Its said that this place was used by Thugs at the time of 17th century and later used by locals for anti social activities because of the thick vegetation & inaccessibility. If we belive in ghosts, there should be many becoz marthandavarma has killed all the males in the kazhakuttam tharavadu owned by kazhakuttathu pillai.You could still see a big pond & a srikrishna temple nearby at Kazhakuttam junction at this spot.
Also as many of you have mentioned, i have walked through this road at 10 pm after my shift some 4-5 years ago.I started my career at 2000 mid in technopark.I left to chennai in 2005. At this time, we never heard of any such stories.probably this ghost appeared in 2008 or 2009 :-). We have seen several wild animals including rabbit, forest cat, but never saw a Ghost… This is just a story made with some vested interests

Hi, I did my engineering from kariavattom campus… I have visited this place with my friends Abhilash, Varun Kumar, Varun Satish, Siddhu and many more… There is no such thing as this ghost there…. Actually it is a very nice place out there full of trees and natural beauty…. Don’t know what it is out there now but it really was a scenic location out there…
If you get a chance to visit kariavattom campus, do try to visit the place…
There are two ways to reach there, one is through the side of Arabic Department, other is through the playground… I suggest the one through the side of Arabic Dept. because it really is nice, just like having a trekking experience….
Once you get into the path, it’s really like being in a forest… I dont wanna spoil the fun… See it yourself before the buildings come up there as well…
P.S : Forgot to mention, we too heard some sounds like someone screaming…
Don’t forget to take your cams friends…. You will love the place like I do…

My friends [five bravehearts, all Technopark employees mustered courage to visit Hymavathi pond after 1:30am soon after we finished our shift.It was a Saturday morning in June,2009. i was apprehensive despite my eagerness to see a 'ghost' in person. I believe in 'ghosts' just as i believe in GOD and Satan. The concept of 'Duality' needs to be understood. YES, ghosts are for real but as this is a very complex and hard to accept fact, let me refrain from going into that and explain what happened on that saturday morning. we drove in a Santro, all five of us.Parked our car on the ground close to the approach path to the pond. the time was 2am.I was apprehensive despite being in a group of five young men.I advised all to stay together and NOT be scared if we DID see any apparition at all. talking in whispers and walking in single file we reached the perimeter of the pond. My skin broke out in 'goosepimples' confirmation that paranormal activity was present there. i thanked GOD i wasn't alone!! Believe me, had i gone there alone, i would have suffered a heart attack. Reason: the area around the pond was ethereal!, the trees and branches looked 'frozen' there wasn't the slightest of a breeze. I looked around for any sudden movement or sound....nothing! i sat on the edge of the pond for two minutes...my friends were talking this and that in low voices.After about five minutes we decided to leave and returned to the ground to be greeted by a group of security officers of Kariyavattom campus who had informed the police after noticing our car. We spent the night at Sreekariyam Police station after a petty case for trespassing was registered. The SI of police greeted us the next morning with a hearty smile and a sarcastic question; ''Hymavathiye kando????''. his admiration for our courage was writ large on his face. That was one night all five of us will never forget. We went to meet 'Hymavathi' and instead spent a night at the cophouse! :()

Before this post came on this particular site well before 6 months one of my colleague had visited this place near technopark trivandrum on getting a mail from one of my colleagues friend working at an MNC in technopark trivandrum.
The narration is near to truth and my colleagues findings also correlate with this incident reported.
My sincere advise to all guys trespassing this area is to keep up the faith and if you experience something unusual please try to ignore it as soon as possible because we human beings can only do this to tackle this fear.

i have studied in that college for 4 years and this hymavathi has been me and my friends get together place….we used to bunk classes and get there .some times we spent whole day there.we spent time near that place till 7 o clock.in this 4 years we havent noticed any unusual things….this are all fake news of ghosts

This is a true story which happened to one of my roomate AJU he is very good guy who never sees any girl in technopark or anywhere else. one day after his tedious work in the office he left through the back gate .it was 11.49 PM .. he was travelling in a black santro car .. suddenly he heard a chain noise behind his car . he immediatly saw his rear mirror to see what was that .. what he saw was really horrifiying … A beautiful girl of around 21 years of age was standing and wawing her hand .. Aju got distracted because of the girl and started to watch her on the rear mirror.. suddenly his car stopped .. he tried to start the car but all in vain .. poor aju he became very tensed and started to sweat ..by this time the girl started to walk towards the car.. she came near to the car and banged on the window glass .. aju in total fear saw her face .. but it was not visible .. then she asked him in a vibrating tone …( Mone ente pashuvine evadengilum kando ? )aju fainted… when he opened his eyes he was in bed ” That was a funny Dream ” Hope everybody enjoyed”
